About Me

My name is Michael Hartsfield and I am a junior at Texas Tech University. I study English with a minor in secondary education. I want to do Teach For America, where I would teach in the inner city. My preferred locations are Chicago and Cleveland.

A fun fact about me is that I was adopted at the age of thirteen, along with my biological younger brother. My hobbies include reading, playing guitar, and drinking coffee. I also spend a lot of my time with leadership at the college student ministry of First Baptist Church of Lubbock, which is called Paradigm. I enjoy traveling, and have gotten to spend time in Peru, Germany, Cameroon, Panama, Cambodia, and Vietnam.

I am excited to get to know the rest of you. Hopefully this has given some insight on who I am.
